Scared of the animals, no. I have my knife on my belt and either a gun or bow. Im not scared of a Black Bear unarmed. They will turn and run, first site of a human. The other night I was coming out at dusk, and from less than 100 yards, I heard what sounded like atleast 3-5 Coyotes howling, yapping. it happened all of a sudden. I did start walking a little faster. lol. But I carry a little LED flashlite, when going to my spot in dark cause of idiot humans.

Tonight, after sunset on my way out of the woods, less than 100 yards away I heard a pack of what sounded like atleast 5 coyotes howling and yapping to eachother. A little freaky, sounded like a pack of wolves !

When is it too late to put up a permanent stand?

My stand got stolen over the weekend. Went up this morning and it was gone. They were nice enough to leave my bow hook in the tree. I did'nt have it locked, thought it was safe. Went, and got another one today. Gonna set it up tomorow with two bike locks !
