  1. America is amazing! Someone as stupid as you can make that much money in this great country. And you must have a huge winky too - because neither nature or God is that unfair to give someone a tiny brain AND a mini richard....
  2. Prison, One less POS on state land...... The charge is too harsh-- , given me a an effin brake. Send his arse away make the world a better place. He can go work in a factory in china when he gets out...... Imagine if the little turd doesnt go to prison and knocks up some slutomatic. More Lillte POSs running around. Put the trash were it belongs. 16 is a great age to get em put away before they breed more garbage..... Put him away tlll his winky dont work...
  3. Do you really think I read your messages? Obviously you read my posts, lol....
  4. That helps. So did your other info. Never the less, if everyone else can ramble and conflate things, and nobody seems to notice I think its time to do a little testing. Still, nobody is manning up and taking the lead in Staten Island and other sections of NYC.... However, the rants about the gov and prez will continue while ignoring their backyard - that which they actually can influence. Meanwhile the hunting community across the state opines about more issues that have NOTHING to do with hunting, more than they do with hunting issues. When they do address hunting issues, they know it all and nobody else knows anything..... AND, such opining is costing the hunting community political capital. First they destroyed any working relationship with the Gov, who is a hunter..... ( I said 5 years ago or whenever the safe act started it would require a court action and that needs to happen before scalia kicks it,) Then they go on about gays and gay marriages - one Legislature is a man married to a man, with an adopted child... Then they criticize black people - oh - they should not be parioniod about police, easy to say if your not black... What you tell me 25% of the Legislature is black? We published photos, still nobody gets it... Then they might go on about Mexican immigration--- well what percent of the Legist is hispanic, you tell me, what is it about 10 percent? Look either this is a hunting site or it isnt. We are looking for those hunters in NYC who are interested in working with us, in this stage of my life I am not interested in arguing with deadbeats.... Or hearing anymore of their unfounded opinions. Ramble on........
  5. Actually. It doesnt seem you looked at my reports anyway and saw the link I was refering to so I will isolate it for ya, here ya go: http://www.urbanresearchmaps.org/nystatelegislature/map.html When you read my material, I will read yours, I think that is a fair deal.....
  6. As a person who worked in science and legal investigation, I will tell you to get at the truth and the facts requires that you man up and dig like an archaeologist, you dont expect things to be handed to you, you dont depend on election boards, the Po-leece and all that crap. Our reports actually need some corrections, here they are: Some Anti-Hunting Members of the NY Legislature: • Senator Linda Rosenthal, Humane Legislator of the Year • Senator Andrew Lanza, District 24 Humane Legislator of the Year (REPUBLICAN – STATEN ISLAND) • Assemblywoman Nicole Malliokakis, District 64 Endorsed by the HSUS (REPUBLICAN – STATEN ISLAND) • Senator Phil Boyle, District 4 (REPUBLICAN) • Senator Tony Avella, District 11 • Assemblyman Steven Cymbrowitz District 45 • Assemblyman Fred Thiele District 1
  7. A link to your business would be a great start, maybe I will meet with you at some point. Second - a google search , varying the key words is an easy way to find out what is going on with elections. There are two NYC-based hunting organizations I am aware of. One is the NYC hunting meetup, which is a hunting club rather than an entity that works toward policy. The other organization I started and is still in the embryo stages, it is the United Hunters of NYC http://unitedhuntersofnyc.weebly.com/
  8. First thing I want to point out as interesting is you are from Albany County. Why are you in this thread? Is it because your proximity to the state house makes you more interested in elections or do you work in the state house? I disagree that it is difficult to determine who is running for office. it just takes a little effort, but not much at all. Fact is I do not have the time to do everything, and people need to feel they are part of an initiative, or else they do not feel invested in it. I come on this section because I see a real significance with the NYC hunter. There are about 156 assembly reps, of which only 90 do not represent NYC. That means 66 do represent NYC. To achieve a majority vote in the assembly, it requires 76 votes - thus NOTHING can be done without the cooperation of the NYC assembly. Of the entire Legislature, assembly and senate representing NYC - there is now only one republican from Staten Island, who happens to also be an anti-hunter. I am not of the opinion that a republican majority is the key to the promise land of hunting legislation. As a matter of fact, we published a report which clearly shows it is not. Never the less, many hunters will never be convinced otherwise. This Castorino guy is probably a dead ringer for the Italian catholic staten island district ( only section of NYC a republican has a chance apparently) . But, he took on Cuomo, pro bouno and that proves he is an aggressive attorney. But aggressive lawyers do better in the private sector than in the Legislature where they must compromise. Maybe not so if you are the POUS or Governor, but on the Legist, you need to be a team player. Pissing off the Gov might be a handicap .... With so much wind coming from this forum and the hunting community in general, the lack of awareness is astounding. NY Dove Hunting is not a PAC or otherwise involved in elections, but in the future we might need to evolve into such to meet our goals. But in order for us to operate in the present, our people need to be informed and engaged. We can send castorino a survey and same to all other candidates and incumbents, to access their attitudes toward dove hunting and pheasant stocking, but it will have little practical use at this time. We are not even after a dove bill right now, there is still much foundation work to do, such a bill would likely be defeated at this time. You make comments about the difficulty determining districting maps and all that, but we got an easy reference on our website: http://nydovehunting.weebly.com/the-new-york-state-legislature-up-close.html and http://nydovehunting.weebly.com/letter-writing.html It would be more important to vote OUT the other staten island republican - a humane society endorsed anti hunter, than it would be to elect castorino. The HS is not worried about controlling NYC - however if there are one or two republicans they will seek to buy them out. They could not buy out Borrelli or he did not need to be bought. The other however, probably didnt need to be bought either, she may present well for the HS and they wanted to lock her in. I said before, the only people living in NYC, who do not have any say about hunting policy - are the hunters who live there. I tried to get that point across on this site, and it went clear over the hairlines.... Still working on it, help me out......
  9. Thank you! If you find out who will be running on both parties, please let me know. Too bad we don't have someone hunting-friendly lined up to run. Downstate carries the most weight. With all the election and party politics talk hunters engage in, you would think they are more in-tuned to what is going on, especially where they live or when it involves an area that is strategically important, like NYC. And within NYC, Staten Island might be the best bet. After all that is why the Humane Society backs the other republican in Staten Island - it is good strategy. Who lives in Staten Island and wants to get serious about this?
  10. I dont hunt LI, but you guys have done a pretty good job with your season structure, pretty impressive actually. Funny because the antis in Jersey posing as hunters on the internet who oppose Sunday hunting - one reason given is the number of hunting days under federal frameworks, we argued to copy LI season which includes Sunday hunting. Jersey would have slightly different migration and other factors, but not very different than LI. Same arses pretending to be hunters in Jersey, in addition to opposing Sunday hunting, oppose state pheasant stocking, dove hunting, and spinning wing decoys - we got arses like that here in ny too.... People seriously believe these people are actually hunters..... We need to start vetting.... Thanks for posting and encourage participation thereby giving a voice to more people!
  11. Here is some more food for though; We have a guy on here who runs a preserve and another guy who belongs to a truly great bunch of guys, that is NYC hunting meetup. The meetup duded jump through hoops just to hunt. As a result they are suckered by guides and preserves. Right now they have a legitimate snow goose hunt booked in the finger lakes, but nobody is going at a good rate of $300. The bulk of the migration is through but THIS would be a high quality hunt - assuming the guide is not a fraud (some of them are and I dont know this dude) Last week 4 of them paid $300 per pig to shoot Hampshire Pigs on a 150 acre island. 4 hunters left with 7 young, domestic pigs and the hoodwinker took them for $$1200. ( Not to mention, in some jurisdictions that would be felony animal cruelty. I am aware of 2 city dudes who bought a goat on an Indian reservation and took it to private land for a "bow hunt" - they were charged and convicted). So, hopefully I could work with elmo and some of the others in the NYC hunting meetup - shawn hu however, is on his own. Hampshire pigs... Seriously, they got the pictures posted. For those of you guys on here that claim to be rural folk that in reality are imports from urbania , here is what a hamphire pig is: http://nationalswine.com/about/about_breeds/Hampshire.php https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hampshire_pig Pertaining to lead bio-accumulation in eagles, below is a recent correspondence. Notice the COST of treatment, Yes I know many of you think the dec doesnt have to pay for this or shouldnt, but that is what you think and opine, not what reflects reality. Also notice how they describe how lead "mimics" calcium in the body. I think stating it that way will register and resonate with some non dot connectors. http://soarraptors.org/2016/03/the-madness-continues/?utm_content=buffer47fb3&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=buffer Hamsphire pigs on a 150 acre island. That one should go down in history..... NYC, call Mike before you spend any money upstate.....
  12. Heres a few other gripes: Not only does FSW spread misinformation and harrass people, he has been kicked off a number of sites, yet this site lets him rant. On numerous occasions he condoned illegal activity - not only poaching but use of illegal drugs. Yet, the site administers let him go on and on. Suppose his idea of hunting is going through the gate in his back yard and shooting a deer he bred by AI behind a fence. Yeah, think I will go harvest old paddle antlers today..... Mike Kerry is is his real name by the way. Must do a lot of hunting between running a restaurant and a deer ranch. Here is his characteristic rant on another site under the name Heart Punch - and if you notice BANNED from that site: https://www.qdma.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59359
  13. If I block people can I stay subscribed but not get notification emails from those special people?
  14. Who all lives on Staten Island? This is where this is.....
  15. Rob, You just made me log in to this site because i received a message in my email there was a reply to this post. I thought the effin reply was worth a crap.
  16. Here is the deal: On every hunting forum there is a Doc Persona, a Four Seasons Whitetail Persona, and a Shawnhu Persona. They claim to be hunters, yet 5 things they support will end hunting ( while implying the vice versa): 1) Pellet guns instead of real firearms 2) Expensive and detrimental High Fence Trophy Hunting 3) Creating a rift between archers and all other forms of hunting 4) Use of lead ammo 5) Predator control, particularity bounties and/or year-round hunting They claim to be hunters, yet 3 things they oppose will end hunting via attrition ( while implying the vice versa) : 1) Oppose dove hunting 2) Oppose the state pheasant stocking program 3) Oppose habitat funding
  17. Joe Borelli is a republican from Annadale, which is assembly district 62. It appears he is no longer in office, but I am not sure. What is going on?
  18. Fine with me. Even better if the whole thread is deleted, not just locked.
  19. That was not my intent with this post. Rather, the intent was to get people to reflect on what they say or read, and encourage evidenced-based thinking instead of ideology-based thinking. However, it is not working...
  20. If you want to vote in the primary, and you are not registered, you only have a few days to register then you need to be registered as either a democrat or republican. If you are registered as an independent voter you need to change that as well, and within the next few days.
  21. There is a bill to limit shotgun and rifle purchase pending right now which was recently introduced. The bill has one sponsor and is not bicameral, so it does not have legs at this time. Interesting you ask this question now, considering the bill was just introduced and moved to committee. Makes me wonder who you are.
  22. Two videos side by side to compare hunting pheasant and grouse. A third video to be added to this page in the near future. The next time someone says pheasant are helpless and all that, refer them to this. http://nydovehunting.weebly.com/videos-difficulty-of-hunting-pheasant-compared-to-ruffed-grouse.html
