  1. I am but im not. Gotta deal with all the Cit-idiots coming out to the country, thinking they know it all about hunting. Wouldnt mind if they did away with gun season, and just made hunting all bow. Damn that would be sweet.
  2. What Area of Warsaw? I live in Warsaw. What a toad that is though. Congrats!
  3. Why did this get reposted? Poor judgement in shot, great result, dead deer. Whats that add up to, case closed... . I think who everyone should be b**tching at is the guy who reposted it, what a d-bag if you ask me.

well were getting cold weather over the next week, and also a hurricane. mother nature is a bit**. The moment you think shes gunna give up dat sweet ***, she pulls a fast one, and plays hard to get. blows.
  5. I live not to far away from Letchworth. They have a couple areas where you cant hunt, and you should see the amount of deer there. Its right near one of the entrances, I cant remember. But there would be 50 deer out in this little section of grass a night. Lol unbelievable actually. My dad used to hunt in letchworth state park, but that was back when it was open and you didnt need special permits. You would see about 10 hunters a night, and 0 deer lol.
  6. Hey man, after taking a ----, I tend to wipe in an upward motion. I look forward to your reply, where you tell me it should be wiped in a downward motion, and thats the only way... lol Jesus
  7. How would you say that you get experience then. Lay it on me brother. Lets not mold and mask the truth here, it just makes you like a clown. Oh I forgot, your first year hunting, you were an all star Fred Bear. MY bad, should of known great white hunter. Lets hear about all the big trophies youve killed now lol.
  8. LOL! let me paint this picture for these people who are agaisnt long shots. There is a younger hunter, not much experience, who is going into his third year of hunting. He has shot one buck, a doe, and wounded a few others. He has seen a few big bucks, but never really had the opportunity for a shot. This November, on a cold frosty morning, a 130 inch buck steps out for him, and walks right into the biggest opening you will ever see. The buck stops at about 32 yards. The kid knows that he doesn't shoot his bow much because he is just getting into hunting. I would say his maximum range is at 25 yards. He pulls his bow back: what do you think is going through his mind? "Oh, I better not shoot because I know he is just a little to far, maybe next time.... what a bummer," Or "Oh my god, oh my god, holy shit, I cant believe I have this opportunity." Squeeze, arrow goes flying while he was looking at the rack the whole time lol. We have all been there, I know I have. You can only build experience in bowhunting by getting out there and taking shots. And for people to sit on here and just say you will never take a long shot, or have, well that is a just a complete joke.
  9. Who said I didnt have experience? I shoot my bow every day, thousands of shots a year. I didnt say I couldnt make the 50 yard shot, I just prefer not to. but Yes if a big buck steps out, I will take the shot, because I feel I have practiced enough. Small bucks and does get a free pass. Well small bucks always get a free pass because I myself only shoot mature animals as well. I think you just misunderstood what I was saying.
  10. 38.26 yards hahahaha!! this is so true, i had tears in my eyes brother. "I know i can make that shot, must of been a twig, or the deer ducking, becuase it sure as hell wasnt me"
  11. Good job phade. I dont condone myself to 50 yard shots, unless it is a booner. And when I say myself, yes i mean literally just myself. Other people can shoot that yardage, and thats fine. Pracitce helps. I just feel that the numerous factors at that distance works agaisnt me.
  12. lol I dont really understand what you are saying here. If you started to aim lower and the first deer dropped, you smoked him, which is understandable. But then you say you also aimed lower on the second one, it didnt drop, and you spined him? you should of shot under him... My motto: "aim low miss low". you cant kill a deer if you hit him high (unless you catch a break with the spine shot). You can however smoke a deer with a low shot. Reading body language is also very important. CALM DEER: 15-25: middle lung 25-35: heart 35-45: anywhere from belly line to heart NERVOUS DEER: 15-25: heart 25-35: belly line 35-45: a few inches below belly line And there are still more factors beside calm vs nervous. For example, did you stop them with your mouth vs you didnt stop them with your mouth. If you stop them with your mouth, they basically upgrade to a nervous deer because their level of alertness and reaction time is unbelieveable Anyone else agree with this?
