  1. 23yrds to target. Practicing from 11 and then being 17 in the woods shouldn't be a huge difference correct? Practicing proper form shooting elevated Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  2. I'll be hanging them in a few weeks with my buddy at the property. I'm guessing 17 won't seem so high with some holding it and another on the other side of the tree with a ladder. I got my bow stand at 10ft in the backyard. Rock solid. To practice from. Also setup a hss lifeline. Really digging the lifeline. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  3. So it turns out the tree I had a hard on for ends up being 30 from the center of the plot. Perfect! Picked a tree for rifle near my buddy's stand and it ended up being a nice 55 yards. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  4. Well I got it in the tree. And man what a difference. Definitely worth it. Enjoying the flip up seat and more than enough platform for standing bow. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  5. So I'm curious what height you all hang your stands. I got my 2 stands out for testing in the tree out back. Decided I'm not totally cool with 17+ feet. However 10ft seems cherry to me in terms of sight lanes and comfort. Is 10 ft too low? that is to the foot platform. Seat height is about 11-12. Each set of ladder is about 5 foot for both stands. 6. Wow Noone has a muddy? I know they were bought out by big game stands. There were concerns of quality drop due to this. Well my local herbs ended up having g the muddy for same price as basspro.... And I had a small gift and so I saved the tax on it.. Now I see the big game maxim stand on sale for same price at basspro. Bigger platform.... Thinking of returning the muddy. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  7. Setup a small treestand I got on Facebook today. Great Lil stand however it's not big enough for bow hunting. Anyone have a huntsman? Specs seem wide enough if H for my size 13 boots. Always liked the look of them I. Stores. Any recommendations for a large platform big seat stand for 150$? Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks for the responses. We had a tree fall blocking my buddies stand in another area so I will be in there this weekend removing it. I haven't been in a month or so. So I'll be reassessing distances with a range finder. As well as pulling cards. I'll take this advice into account. I do have a pop up and was planning on putting it in for gun. Covering a larger area and still being able to see into the plot. About 50-60 yards from plot. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  9. So my 1/4 acre plot has 3inch growth and I'm super excited about that. We are close to decision time on stand placement. I have a tree I initially picked out. Downwind of the usual wind. Which is also down wind of the plot. It's about 25 yards from the edge of the plot. And I cleared a shooting lane for it. And I would have some visibility coverage for a deer looking my way from the plot. But now as I'm only comfortable with a 30yard bow shot currently I'm rethinking it. As I'd only have a 5-10 yard range into the plot. And would have to pass on anything in the other 90% of the plot. There is another tree literally at the edge of the plot that would allow me to shoot the entire length of the plot. Also downwind and on the same trail as the initial spot I picked. Just closer Where do you guys place yours on small plots? Right on the edge or back off a bit. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  10. Shots as follows. 1st @ 22 Next 2 to make a 3 shot @ 22 Rested @ 22 different target 32 yards. Shooting 22 for another week or so before I move back to 30. Though it could be fatigue. Elevation is dead on for the center ring. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  11. Very curious to see how this goes. Report back. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  12. Yeah when I got in to pull the cam. I put down 80lbs of lime and spread a clover chicory blend. My buddy should be getting in this weekend to throw down his bag of honeyhole. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  13. Nock seems to be loving the camera on every pull. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk

  17. And thank you for the input everyone. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  18. I went and picked up some granulated lime for the lawn spreader. While there I examined the texture /color and smell of the pulverized lime. It does not match what's in my garage. I'm going to hold onto it and do a test area in the backyard. Away from kids and pets. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  19. Lol biz.... Alrdy tried putting it out with the garbage. They refused it and stickered it. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk

  22. I inherited my house. I have a 5 gallon bucket with a fine white substance in it. How can I tell if it is lime fertilizer? If it is lime does it go bad? If it is can I throw it over my already planted food plot? No growth yet Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk

  24. Hemp is the non thc (high) producing version of Marijuana..... Farmed for generations in our country's early days for rope, textiles and paper. One of our leading exports for a while..... One of the first automobiles was designed to run on it. However big oil shut it down as it was such a renewable growable product........ Info paraphrased for simplicity.
