  1. Damn auto correct. Should say "moonguide.com". The opinions expressed here are exactly my sentiments. And those of many based on the articles and forum posts I read while googling. I'll file it in the brain as something to be aware of. But in my mind rut and weather will trump the moon. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  2. As tuned as it's gonna be for a day or two went through leveling and paper tuning this weekend Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk

  4. Thanks all. Yes your right. I checked them they are pse. I ordered some carbon express whitetail 350s. Per their chart I'm right on the line of 350/250 of that particular arrow. Other arrows in their other lines said 350 recommended. I'm going to stick with my 100g 1-1/16 diameter. Muzzies. Unless I should bump up to 125s? Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  5. lol! Only 3 are consistent Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks. Super helpful... Lookalike I should be in the range of 380-420. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk

  8. In light of my recent sighting issues. I figure I should ask the collective about arrow weight. I am shooting a 2006-7 Matthews switchback solo cam. Set at 50lbs. With a 30inch draw. I have standard prefab carbon express stl hunter 200 arrows. With nocturnal and 100grain broadheads. My buddy came over to shoot and he is shooting 400 grain arrows. On a way more basic browning/walmart type compound. He even has some 500s he shoots.... With all the random flight paths I'm experiencing with these arrows is it possible they aren't heavy enough for the bow? Should I jump up in arrow weight? I'm down to only 7 arrows so it's time to buy new ones. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  9. Alright. I'm giving up. I don't know if I've just been shooting so much that I'm losing it. Or if the bow is still out of whack. Stepped out for a couple arrows. 1 FP hit bull. 1 way low the other way left. Shot BHs. Both 2 in grp on bull at 30 yards. A fourth FP hit bull on a different target. I noticed that the ones that were off flew awkwardly. Is it possible that all the abuse these arrows have taken has warped them and it's just not noticeable without a spinner? At any rate the BHs are consistent. (2 of them) so I'm not messing with the bow adjustment anymore. I'm going to just practice a couple shots a day focusing on form. Until season. 11. So I came across an article about buy in program "moonshine" now I have no intention of buying in. However it did cause me to look into the concept. I found the solarluna calender. And it shows good hunting /fishing times. And projects out through the entire season. The.king about giving it a whirl this year and devoting some extra attention to the moon phases and spend extra time on thosedays. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  12. Simple project. I'll get the stuff to diy one next time I'm out. Got out today with a buddy. Hitting 6inch groups at 40. All around the boiler. At that distance I'm wishing my pins were smaller and less cluttered. At 30 groups are 2 inches. Fields and broadheads. I don't think the bow is 100% tuned as when I first went to 40 all shots were way left. Made a micro windage adjustment on the sight and brought 40 yards inline. And 2 arrows still don't fly right. I'm going to have to break out the scale and diy that roller to see what the issue is. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  13. Looks good. Do it yourself? Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  14. So spin it between my hands like they r cold or praying? Look down at the head to look for off rotation? Also noticed my practice head is not lined up with the vanes Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks! Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  16. Alright I did more reading on paper tuning.. Turns out your supposed to have a field point in!!!! Which explains all of my non-readable tears!!! So field points in. I was shocked! So I shot a bare shift with point. 25 yards The right flier is a practice blade broadhead. The other nocturnal is a hunting broadhead. Skinned half the vane off the field point. 17. Final shots for the day... I put the bow in a vise. Got so the riser was level. Then slotted and arrow to make sure it was level. All checked out... Below is final 2... On the right. With a field point. On the left with knock vanes and insert. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  18. Alright just incase the mounting of the target was off I remounted it from 2 points to prevent sway and spin. Here's my final shot... I gotta mow my yard before I lose it with this project Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  19. Alright I'm totallylosing it.... Different papers give different tears... Used coloring book. Single newspaper, double news paper and printer paper Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
