Man, its Burrr cold. Heading up for soup, be back out by one. Hate to miss the mid day hunt, but I'm too stinkin cold and haven't seen a thing this morning.

I really, really like the snow. Only problem is... When you see a squirrel at 100yds, your ready to put the bow in action..... Then you realize that its only a squirrel.

All day, every day! If I have to take care of something in the morning or evening... Then guess what, I can't. I don't like disturbing the woods if I don't have too. I do cheat sometimes at the end of the season, when its -2000*.

Just by looking at his chest, I would say he's young. From my experience, the starts to get lower than the belly as they age.

Im lovin my tree ride. I feel ya grow, my knee clicks with every step, as I'm climbing what feels like mount Marcy, down here in 9P. The chase seems to be on down here, just saw some "frantic" running down about 100yds through the hard woods.

Well, took a shot at a flat head. She was 22yds out and I put the 15yd pin on her. I'll give it a hour then take a look.

Sitting in the double with my oldest. At least he doesn't fidget and giggle like my youngest boy. Only problem is... I'll have to wake him up if/when I see a deer.

I am selective in the early season, I have let a lot pass so far this season. Even as the season rolls on, I will pass on any .5-1.5 yr old bucks. As my grandfather said though "Ya can't eat the horns"
