Anybody use them? Have any success? I was tuning up my glass and slate last night while reading through the bass pro spring catalog and seen a bunch of these. I like the fact that they require such little movement. Seems good for when a tom is approaching the kill zone

Left hander over here.... Only one in my family! However I had to learn to do certain things right handed due to work (electrician) oh and I play hockey righty lol

Definitely gonna scheck out those Hawkeyes!!! I held the ruger American in a gander mt a few months ago and i didn't love the feel. I was thinking of customizing an Axis platform with a diff stock and optics... Waiting on my tax return though

Got my first buck! What an amazing feeling. Not the biggest guy out there but he'll do. Got him on opening day in the afternoon with a 12 gauge slug. East Worcester zone 4F.

Anyone else tracking the weather? I'm heading to Roxbury 4R trying out some new State land spots and it looks like it's gonna be crappy out... Super excited to get out in the woods for opening week and as luck would have it i have the week off from work. Anyone else headed out?

Seen the video on Facebook a couple days ago... Thought it was pretty funny but it also reminded me of how long it would take me to access my weapon in an emergency (safe and trigger lock). Don't really feel this is anti-gun IMHO

But I don't think it would hurt for me to grab a box or two of slugs and a modified choke and see if I can shoot a decent group with open sights

Well here's the thing, I'm trying to see if I can get away with using my shotgun for a season or two in lieu of buying a bolt action rifle. My shotgun has front and back fiber optic sights and is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. So I need to weigh the price of a decent scope, new choke and possibly a rifled barrel to the cost of a new rifle. Its pretty close when I break it down, now I just have to convince the old ball n chain that we need to buy a new rifle haha

I'm trying to pull double duty with my 12gauge mossberg turkey gun (24" barrel with full choke) to hunt both turkey and deer. Which leads me to a few questions: -Is shooting slugs through my un-rifled barrel a good way to go for deer? (obviously I would remove the choke) or should I purchase a rifled barrel? - also could I pull double duty with a decent red dot scope?

Yeah they're aren't too many left handed models on the market, and savage definitely has a few that look great. I was hoping to scoop up an old tack driver with some history and maybe a story or two of it's travels...
