i dont have a stand but i plan on using a drag does it matter when i drop the drag i also have a buck bomb i plan on dropping once in my bush lol yes im huntng out of a bush

i have used it this year during scouting it does seem to calm them down my father swears by it

very true considering i havint harvested a buck yet i have a whole corn plot to hunt with my dad and im trying to find out who the buck is in that area the runs it so to speak a moth ago i had a lot of pics of differnt spikes and 4 pointers even a 6 and a 8 havint seen a buck who seemed to make the others shy away

im trying to getim my first buck this year and i really want to harvest a mature buck not a spike or 4 point like everyon else where i live iim willing to hunt full days all season long i have a game plan but new rubs and scrapes always seemto get me thinking about another way to go

ive noticed the bucks around me have started ating a lot differnt could this be because of a minor rut or something ?? or is it the pre rut stage im confused about a couple of things ive herd that the best part of the rut is first wek of rifle and last week of bow insight would be helpful thank you for ur time

i just took m bow class i ont be able to bow hunt untill next season and i do scout but i ty not to ptressure the deer where im at and i have the firewood already cut for winter

bee bee hill and harvey is some hard hunting you gotta walk in deep to get to deer and theres a lot of peope who go there plus side of it is that the deer there are mature and theres prolly a trophy in there -

i cant wait for opening day of rifle me and my dad have been scouting and preparing all year long what do you guys do to make the time pass? and is it time to stop check trail cameras and sutch until the season opens ?

trail cams are fine to use im 23 ive also been out in the woods without a gun when i was 10 with my dad and learned trail cams dont make you a bad hunter the make you an educated hunter its also a great way to learn about the health of your deer population you complain about kids playing video game then turn around and say they should stay outa the woods make no sense

i live in columbia county if your willing to cross the rip van wingkle ive got 3 or 4 differnt ones if its not to far

to tell you the truth first week im usally out there all day hoping maybe hunters coming and going get deer moving im sure lots of you folks have had more success then me hunting tho considering i only have a doe under my belt lol but ive been hunting since i was 16 im now 23

i stuck between hunting a corn field opening day or a thick ravein .....and does anyone know if hunting a staging area is a good idea last year i saw the deer atop a little dug out hole on the other side of the field and waiting there till dark they seem very comfortable there and i feel like it would be my only chance to get a shot at one
