My .02 for thought may not be right may not be what some landowners want to here but as I ride I kinda get the riders thinking...every spring spring we deal with down trees that end up making us go different ways maybe thru the woods maybe thru adjoining property just to try and get back to the trails....as said in another post maybe use the riders to your advantage offer them use January thru Sept if they maintain trails and post the property in a legal Manor as well as respect your rules...stay on trails stay out in those months fulfil requirements for access...you would be surprised what we would do for access to some property's to ride thru...really might be helpful if you ever get stuck or need help with something on property...I have made some really good tradeoffs with landowners for ability to ride there and I think it bennifits them more than me as I don't use it more than a few times a year...as a rider doing something to harm another rider would not be they way to approach this really could get someone seriously hurt...and if they don't follow your rules and requirements you will have name and address of them and easier to tell them no and then press charges as needed....by just chasing them off the problem will never get solved unless you can get a officer to actually Catch them in the act....again just my .02 Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

I've been trapping 20 plus years and I'm 27 next week lol...my dad taught me and I'm teaching my 5 yr old...this is his 2nd season on the line I have a real passion for trapping and trying to outsmart the target animal...good luck this season and I would look into getting some dry dirt stored and possibly mixed with antifreeze or buckwheat hulls work good as cover....especially as the weather is only gonna get worse....fur prices sucks this year so for me may be a year to get some tanned and maybe mess with some myself...again good luck there's a few other guys on here who have success trapping and I'm sure could chime in with tips Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

2nd all day hunt tomorrow....hoping this lol colder getting them going....sit in flats in am then move to hill for night quads loaded climber strapped and bow dialed in...come on deer Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk -
For me depends on access to dry dirt...if I have it I will set it for I can find some of will set...I think I won't be setting till Sunday night or Monday and use hulls as cover the last few years with some dry dirt stored also..mouthing worse than trying to sift mud...trapping is my favorite outdoor activity someday when I'm retired 40 years from now lol...I'd love to trap the adks and do some major water lines...odd love to get a few 100 steel in the ground and spend my days checking them...rain shine snow I will do what I have to to get it in ground...only reason not getting in Sunday is daughters birthday party....and alot of the land access I have is mainly after deer season Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

Seems like a smart business to me...cheap enough to get people to use the service and no work for them...basically free money for a few days storage... Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk -
Have you ever accidentally shot something?
stoneam2006 replied to ATbuckhunter's topic in General Chit Chat
My dad shot his dog years before I was born with his bow....was out shooting laid down behind target when he went to use bathroom came back out started shooting stuck thru target and hit dog...was ok with few stitches tho....another wierd story with that dog was a few months later dog got out (was a good coon dog) dad went looking for it found it tied out at someone's house so went to claim guy said not his and shove off dad showed him scar on side from where shot guy gave up... Having second thoughts on the climber.......
stoneam2006 replied to zeus1gdsm's topic in General Hunting
I have never used a blind so can't speak to that but basics are always good...I go in with my pack climber phone and bow that's it no gadgets add ons or anything that doesn't increase my chances of getting target animal Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk -
Having second thoughts on the climber.......
stoneam2006 replied to zeus1gdsm's topic in General Hunting
I am a 2nd year climber and my speed of setup has decreased drastically I can get up to a tree and to desired height in just a few min it gets easier....as far as the movements and comfortability of it that should come too they really are quite stable once up...another thing I do is ratchet the top section to the tree...makes a hugggge difference....as far as the accessories I can't speak to them as I refuse to get any other than the upgraded carrying device and I'm gonna put some grip tape on the base as was mentioned in a thread I started...more crap to carry in is just that in my opinion...I have no problem using my drag rope to lift bow up tree and having bow in lap or if I remember a old screw in step screwed in to put bow on....it is harder to walk with it on no argument there that's the downfall imo but I'm gonna put a molle chest rig on it to ease the weight and awkwardness of it....hope that kinda helps I wouldn't give up so soon on it I hunt lots of Stateland and it makes a huge difference good luck with decision Edit....I put my backpack on before the climber so it helps pad my back and easier to carry...and then I put it under the seat by the tree and use the tail end of ratchet from the top to tie to bag just in case it falls lol Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk -
