Right in town there used to be literally hundreds of deer roaming around. I went up last year send hardly saw any, they must have wiped them out

I agree. I hate the idea of telling anyone what they can and can't shoot.

That won't happen in a million years. Gun hunters would have a stroke if they let us take two bucks before gun season. And rightfully so. The one thing almost all true big buck states have is a very short gun season. NY will never get there with five weeks of gun, a youth gun season, and soon an early ML season. I gun hunt too, nothing against it at all I truly enjoy it, but the season is just way too long

Find a wet spot in a grain field and watch it at first light, chances are ducks will be pouring in to it. Be there the next morning, lay out and hide real well

I dont think theres any circumstance where you can kill a third buck in NY, with antlers over 3". There might be something about Long Island thats different?
