  1. This is true im not upset or greedy. I was comunicating with someone on a regular basis. I was just consernd that may be I missed a package that got left at my house or got left at my post office. I just haven't heard a responds in a few weeks.
  2. I hope eveything is ok. I dont want to sound like im being a pain in the butt, but I gave this contest my gods honest trueful story of my great hunt with my litttle lady and my self. I am disapointed with the lack of resposne I am gettting with the people who said they were going to reward the winners with the prizes that were voted on by us the people that voted for these stories we worked so hard to provide each other with. I am growing impatieciant with no asnwers from the people who put this forum together. Email after email and no responds. Whats going on here?
  3. Hi fellas, I recieved the Ka-bar knife. Its great. I havent recieved anything else. I keep trying to get a hole of John but he doesnt return my emails anymore. Turkey season is coming. I got a new gun, Browning BPS. Can't wait to shoot it. Good luck to those who turkey hunt.
  4. Thank you. My children love to hunt and fish with me and that makes me very happy. My son and I should be getting our full body turkey mount back soon. We are getting excited. I also got a new gun for turkey season!
  5. I tried to contact the forum but they sent me a reply saying I need to read the topic before I recieve any more info. I don't understand what topic they are asking me to read.
  6. I was wondering who one the contest. I see my story is leading but I dont know where to go to find the results.
  7. I like tracking deer in the mourning much better but mourning can be tough when the rut is not here but when it is here you just have to sit tight because eventually they will be coming through.
  8. We need bigger bucks. We need more deer. We love to hunt. It's not an easy sport. Alot of us put alot of time into it to get quality animals then the ones we pass up to let get bigger just get shot anyway. Something needs to change. I hope people like the dec looks at this web sight and see's how many people want change. If they do what P.A. did we will see more deer and bigger bucks.
  9. At 30' your kill zone gets smaller. What you have to do is practice at the hieghts your comfortable at. 15-20 feet is my comfort zones. My uncle and cousins go up 30' and they wound more deer than any five men see.
  10. The smaller buck was who I thought was the boss but I thought wrong. I have had cameras out for six months and this is the first time I saw this pig.
  11. Yeah I would rather get a doe or small buck with my kids than a monster buck by my self. It is very rewarding getting a deer with a little kid because its such a challenge.
  12. It was October 18th, muzzleloader season. My little girl, Lilly who is five years old had asked me to take her hunting. Her little brother and I got our first turkey together this year in May and made the syracuse news papper. She said " I want to be famous too and be in the news papper with you, but I want to get a deer instead of a turkey". We got ready for our big hunt. We arrived to the field we were going to hunt and headed to our spot. We were getting ready to sit down and two deer had spotted us and took off. I asked Lilly do you want to sit here or do you want to see if we can sneak around them. She said "I think we should go around them Dad". I said "ok, but you have to move fast and be very quiet". We began our attack. Little to say, Lilly lagged behind and stepped on every stick in the forest, along with singing and asking questions. We sat down and leaned against a tree. Shortly after a little chipmunk had her attention and she got some giggles from it. I was focused on where I thought the deer would be coming from. I had looked over at Lilly and she had sloutched down and fell a sleep. As the hunt went on she was twitching and slightly snoring. I thought great there is know way we are going to see anything. About 40 minutes later I heard something in the leaves thinking it was the chipmunk. I turned my head slow and there was a doe standing twenty feet from us. Im thinking Lilly don't move please! The doe continued walking I pulled back the hammer and she heard me. I said O no! She is looking right at us and Lilly is sprawed out in blaze orange. She thankfully decided to keep walking. I pulled my gun up slow and squeezed the trigger and BAM! Lilly sat up very quickly and said "did you get one Dad"?I said "yes we did it honey, we got our first deer together." "Let's go get it." We recovered our deer and she was as happy as can be.
  13. I wouldnt mind letting him go one more year if it was my land and I could keep the one other guy that hunts it off... Then I would let him walk. I had one a little smaller last year and wanted him to grow one more year and he shot him. so its up in the air yet.
  14. No more than any other camera I got.
  15. I agree. My granfathers farm has been crapped on by my cousins. They kill everything and I had enough of it. I tried to talk to them about it and they took it the wrong way. All I asked them was if we could start letting bambies and does walk so we can get the population back up.
  16. It is the best camrea I got. I bought 4 wild game and I have had to replace everyone. The primos camera is quiet. It tells you everything from moon phase to temp. I also bought a $50 bushnell Havent got a pic back from it yet but i tried it at night just walking in front of it and it seemed ok. I will buy more primos cameras in the future.
  17. I lightend it up and it looks like a ratcoon or a deer with its head down behind a goldenrod or sapling. I have over 500 trail cam pics this year and had a couple were it was two eyes like that. I would say its a deer.
  18. I got the rage this year. Haven't shot anything with them yet. Our season starts sept 27th up here in the northern zone of new york. I grew up on the P.A. border. My family is still down there. I like what P.A. did with the antler restrictions. Seems to be working well. My brother always calls me and tells me about the bucks he see's in P.A. My buddy and I are starting to film our hunts now. We are practicing with my little vhs cam corder. Some day I want to get a nice Campbell camera, but Im a working man aswell and can't go out and buy a 1400 dollar camera. Your doing great with your videos. Keep them coming.
  19. I have been seeing tracks from a bigger buck and i finally think this one fits the glass slipper!
