    My four year old boy and my self got our first turkey together this year. He hunted with me four days in a row. It finally paid off. We are getting a full body mount. 24#s 9 3/4" beard.

    I wanted to start a topic like this because Im getting the itch to go hunting. I started a food plot And im getting ready to put out some cameras.

    It is a sad thing to deal with when someone gets hurt or killed in the woods. I do think over the years things are getting safer. I say this because I think there are more people taking hunting more seriously. Technology as gotten better. There is more things to try and this gets people involved more. New things like Game cameras, sents,Bows, Guns, tree stands, Hunting blinds, Food plots, camo,Decoys, and calls. With being interested with stuff like this it lets observe the animals closer instead of (its brown its down).

    Two years ago I bought my cva wolf. It was the first muzzle loader I ever had. The evening before opening day of the season, My buddy was at work and I was home trying to figure out how the gun had to be loaded because I had to sight it in before it got dark out or I couldnt go hunting in the mourning. So he talked me through it over the phone. I got it sighted in and went hunting the next mourning and with in an hour i got my first deer with a muzzle loader. I guess what im saying is dont be intimidated its easier than it sounds.

    Gander had a T/C that was beutiful I didn't want to let it go. It had a nice nicon scope on it. $750.00. I use right now a cva wolf. $250.00 from basspro camo with a nickle barrel and scope. Killed 3 deer so far with it.

    Here is a picture of a nice 8 point that had some time to grow and a guy went out during black powder. Hunting about 250 yards from me and got him with about an hour of sitting for his season. (a little frustrating)

    Thats a good idea. I take lots of pictures of everything I kill. I then right a little bit about the hunt. Now I think I will get more in depth about the hunt.

    Even if each of us could take someone in our hunting areas that we hunt our selves. Maybe let them shoot a doe or a management buck. We could talk to farmers and explain to the what we are doing. They might say ok or they might sorry can't help you. Im open to ideas to maybe how we could get something started.

    If we all started doing something like this we could call it the TRIPLE H club. HUNTERS HELPING HUNTERS. What do you guys think. We could agree to take someone who needs help and then tell our stories to each other.

    I could imagine getting hurt or disabled and sitting home while everyone else is out there hunting. It would drive me nuts. I love the outdoors and if I could take someone else hunting who is unable to do so, it would be very rewarding for me.

    I would like to help people who are handicaped. I want to be able to take people hunting that need help. I want to find a farm or land that would allow me to do this. Does anyone else do anything like this?

    No pictures yet. I planted red clover and a kentucky grass that the farmer had. I plan on planting a biologic plot or another late plot at the end of august. I also dug a little pond 12' from my stand and its holding water good.

    Grew up in Windsor Ny. Live in Sandy Creek Ny. I hunt 7s-4o-6g. I hunt Deer,Turkeys,Ducks, Geese, Going to try to get a bear this year. Going to start kyote hunting. Planted my first food plot this year can't wait to see what happens.

    I say yes. I grew up near P.A. and since they did thiers, the bucks have gotten a lot bigger. I hunt for meat always have. How ever I would love to put a wall hanger on the wall too. This would make the chances better and give us more deer to watch as we hunt.
