This conversation is not about whether this administration is violating the rule of law. Obama can't hold a candle to the crimes of Bush 2, Clinton, Reagan, Nixon, Johnson, Roosevelt, Hoover, and many others. Anyway, the federal policies the militants objected to predate Obama. Obama is not the issue. How to address grievances is the issue. The reason we keep bringing up rule of law is because we want to know if you wingnuts believe in it. Do you find armed confrontation a better solution than the legal process?

Saw a yote this morning 10 miles from NYC
Curmudgeon replied to Al Bundy's topic in General Chit Chat
That must be why there are no deer in the suburbs. -
Here's some mammal shots. The daytime shots are from the bone yard - where the carcasses go once they are picked over. The last photo is the golden that was caught this week.

Federal Premium Trophy Copper Muzzleloading Bullets
Curmudgeon replied to peepsight's topic in Muzzleloaders
I've used the regular .270 130 grain Trophy Copper with excellent results. -
Almost all of the photos I post come from Delaware and Otsego Counties. All the research sites in those counties operate under my license to possess deer carcasses. I don't feel like I have any ownership of photos from sites operating elsewhere so will not post them without specific permission.

Sometimes, when the trapper is trapping eagles. It can be boring. It can be thrilling. I was there for one capture and one miss. Maybe tomorrow, depending on how today goes.

Here are some recent shots. The first was taken yesterday. This bald eagle is not quite a year old. It needs to learn to preen properly. No wonder we go through so much bait. Eight bald eagles. Ravens Eagle action The business end of a golden eagle

My 2 cents is the quality of the scope is more important than your choice of any modern rifle. Spend a little more if you can. Leupolds are good, solid. Mine is probably close to 40 years old. Never a problem. I have looked at Swarovskis in the store. Wow. Comparing a Leupold to a Swarovski is like comparing a Jetta to a Ferrarri.

I use Exede, which is Wildblue not Hughes. The service is reliable. My speeds are faster than local Time Warner. Video chatting has a voice delay of several seconds. The data limits are a nuisance - which is why I seldom watch the videos people post. You can avoid data limits by going on-line during middle of the night - when I am sleeping. Or, you can buy a bigger plan, or one GB at a time. For years there has been talk of high speed rural wireless around here. Now they are saying by 2018.

You actually believe that all things being equal, if the armed, militant cowboy who reached into his jacket when confronted by law officers was black, that there would be riots? Do you also believe that if video of the Michael Brown killing had been available immediately, that there would have been riots? That facts only matter to white people?

I just watched the helicopter video released by the FBI - unedited. You can avoid the first 9 minutes if you want. The roadblock and shooting are just after that. He comes out with hands up, puts them down and reaches inside his jacket. That is when they shot him. I stand by the suicide by cop statement.

Now the conspiracy guys can go wild. What happened to the wacko in Oregon is exactly what happened to Michael Brown: "hands up, don't shoot". It's good because this forum had been becoming boring lately. Papist keeps repeating himself. VJP is predictable. Only, Uptown Redneck has injected anything new, and he is just trolling.
