We got a 10 point opening day, have only filled one of our 3 doe tags. I have to agree our area in 4F has been real quiet also. Opening day was quiet for cripes sake not as many people out hunting it seems these days.

Were on private land just north of West Richmondville. Are the front tines of your bucks all worn away like this guys?

Pushed this Bad Boy to my Uncle Saturday Morning Schoharie County.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAP!!! Opening day Ten I guess wingin it at the farm and not rustelin the woods up worked didn't have time to do any scouting this year. Long story short well kinda. Got in the woods well before first light. My Uncle broke his back 7 years ago and has to walk with a cane, so I walk him to his spot with his lucky 5gallon bucket at the base of the mountain no more then 100 yards off the road. I set up Lucky Bucket #2 no more then 200 yards away from him incase he needs help at all during the day. Quiet mornin not alot of shooting in our area few distant, I see nothin all mornin but squirrels all and they are getting annoying! Noon time we usually meet up at my truck for lunch. Today he gets me on the horn sais if he meets me at the truck theres no way hes getting back and askes me to grab him a Coca Cola and bring it to him. I take my time and pack my stuff up and decide to push the swampy brush area in between us. Zig zag through it and made my way out to the road all the sudden BOOM cracka lacka! Sounded like it came from his direction but I was unsure. Figuring he didn’t shoot because my radio wasn’t blasting off (forgot I turned it off when I packed up) I grab his coke and make my way up to him. I get up to Lucky Bucket #1 and he’s not there he somehow made his way up the hill about 65 yards where this bad boy cracked down. Heck ova buck gotta say the drag sucked though all by myself!!hahaha

X2 on this................but I just quit this year!! UGH

My parents lost everything house is about to fall in on itself! The only thing holding it up is the water in the basement.Yesterday I went in to grab some of my Grandparents stuff they brought over from Holland back in the day within arms reach of the back door and the whole house shifted!! Notice the waterline on the roof!!Schoharie County looks like a war zone!!

I have a Coleman Crawdad which is almost the same thing and I love it for small ponds. Now for River fishin and Big Lakes I'm out in my Triton!!

I Ice fish alot but much prefer fishing fluid water. Theres nothin more fun then catchin some bass with my boys!

Went fishin for pike yesterday on the Upper Hudson River got a few small ones nothing picture worthy. My Uncle picked up a nice bass!! We were using 6" suckers in water from 4 to 12 feet.

Try to hold off until Tax Season rolls around thats when you can find some great used guns!! There has to be something close to you but in Schenectady Taylor & Vadney sells used guns. I used to get some sweet deals at Neudeckers in Troy.
