I hate the no elevation rule for youth hunt. Dumb. I’m all for youth getting involved but I am not a fan of the weekend. Would prefer to get kids involved normally and without specialness. Plus getting them going in a stand early helps IMO. Would love to get kid here but no blind in a good spot and we need a touch of elevation here to cover ground. I’m only 7 ish feet up but makes a world of difference due to lay of land.

18. First 8 we’re heading deeper into our ground. Rest have all been coming off a clover field and working to bedding across field to neighbor. Known bedding area there as we used to have shed hunting permission. Can’t do much about that pattern.

Wish we took the kid out this AM. Doe parade. 8 so far. 4 within 10 yards. Partner has to go to an auction so I’m in an short stand observing a transition area between corn fields. Worked like a charm. I’ll be done by 8-815 probably. Watching a real good buck through my RF. On neighbors but he is a stud. Far away but I can tell from here….big guy. Working his way back to bedding.

We will be taking a kid out tomorrow evening. Kid is down in dumps. High hit an 8 pt this week. No dice. Hopefully we can get him a deer. Definitely not getting the daylight photos we need. Seems like the 4-630 AM time is really active here. Corn is coming down though today and tomorrow.

Several unique ones at the farm this year. We have last years photos of both of them. They both made very big gains.

Pressure 30 and over is what I believe is considered good. I can’t say what is or isn’t more important. But high pressure cold bluebird days 5-10 mph wind is about as good as it gets.

Did choose the wrong side of farm today though for a good buck.

NY this weekend. Been around cams a long time and got a cool photo here. Not even sure how they managed to do this. It’s very tight quarters. This is a hedge row that is 20 yards wide.

Dang. Had a doe go by at 10 yards a few times. A buck got in between partner and I but we lost him at last light. Apparently he was just north of me. Slight bump when my partner got down. Close but no cigar. Just a tad late this evening. Right at the stand.

Been in for about 45 min. Partner is about 125 yards on the north side of the corn to cover the NW corner. I am in a 20 yard wide hedge row in a stand known as the honey bee stand for the bee nest behind my shoulder. This is a great stand and hoping for some action. Partner had a buck go by in thicket on his north but no dice on him coming through for a better look.

normally when that issue happens it’s phone unless a lot of people start complaining about it on the social media groups. Right now app appears to be working fine. Look in the phone in your app settings and see if it’s a current version and then look at the app permissions.

Clear your cache in your phone and adjust settings. If your phone went through any updates it can change those settings. 99/100 times that is a phone issue.

I got the communication, late but I got it. Do they need to call you? Cam is working again right? Your cam went down due to server?

Stealth had a server overload like many other cam companies, including Tactacam, have experienced. Happens every year to 1-2 companies each fall as users add on more and more cams and overloads the current servers in operation. Once they switch channel to a new server, then it works fine. I have 6 Stealth cells and they're all working fine after that fix. Stealth took a long time to get it resolved - almost two weeks, which was bad. CS was overwhelmed as a result as nearly everyone was trying to get it fixed. Browning has went down, Spartan has went down, Tactacam has went down, and the list goes on and on. Don't want to normalize bad experience but when servers go down - there isn't a single company that can handle the CS inquiry volume because so many people call and email in, in that situation. They could have communicated better no doubt. They sent out communication after a week of it. I think largely because the server was overloading slowly so not everyone was having cams goes down consistently. They couldn't ID the issue right away. Also, Stealth does OTA firmware updates. If you use good batteries and don't let them get down to voltage cutoff, you can do OTA update with almost zero issues. Nearly everyone who complains about OTA bricking their camera updates the camera with used batteries that can't handle that power draw. I've done 6 OTA firmware updates this season w/Stealth and not a problem. Done two or three with Spartan, not a problem. SD card update is fine, but you have to follow steps to a T. I've had people do the SD card update, the cam screen or lights are flashing update and they TURN THE CAMERA OFF while it is updating and can't figure out why the cam is a brick now and want it fixed. Off the the cam company for reflashing.

That is Spypoint. Stealth doesn't use micro SD cards. Spypoint does.

Set this cam Sunday midday. I believe this buck is one I got photos of beginning in late January. No prior photos or appearances. Didn’t think too much of the potential because I expected he was only using our ground in post-season. Zero preseason or velvet photos. Now, whammabammadingdong.

Who is going out today? I will be out. Late, but out. Probably in the stand around 5:15-5:30. Gives about 90 ish minutes or so. I'll likely end up with a field shower before, washing off the stink from the office (mostly my hair gel).
