What are the odds of a deer like that let alone a doe http://www.heartland...s_30_point_doe/

clearly it looks as if deer was all ready wounded a buck of that size should have no problem defending of a coyote or two if it was not already wounded it would have put up way more fight and not hung out in front of the camera and let those dogs eat its ass well it was still alive i would guess hit by car or shot or some other injury started it all

is a deer kicking its legs up when shot a sign of a good hit or a poor shot or a miss/?

Walking back to the house i jump a small buck and took a running shot. Not positive i hit it tried to find exactly where it was running but had a hard time finding the tracks do to terrain and i kinda had to trot to get a shot so it was hard to pin point where he was when i shot . But i didn't wanna make to much commotion because i knew the deer didn't go right down when i shot and didn't wanna push it farther into the think brush. I didn't see sign of a hit but didn't go to far not wanting to push it. Me and dad both have tomorrow off so going back to check with a better set of eyes. When i shot tho the deer kicked it back legs up not a full out donkey kit but definitely gave a good kick and continued to run could not see tail up or down but it definitely kicked. wondering what you think is a kick a good sign or a bad sign?

Got this coyote 2nd day of northern zone bow. Came out 70 yrs up field edge and started hunting the end of field right to me. steped under a branch gave me a chance to draw and stepped under my stand maybe 10 ft and i let her have a rage two blade threw the top of lung right out between front legs blew heart out pretty much. went 25 yrd and dropped dead no kicking or twitching just stone cold dead.... first coyote with the bow what a rush tho no deer came out to the fields that night. with i could kill the rest of the coyotes help some of those little fawns make the winter.

I'm pretty sure I know his scape line found another scrape probably 800 yrds away down hill farther no cam on it tho might be his have seen a small 4 pointer and a spike together in area just before season. His body does look big there are not a lot of deer here but the one around end up pretty being whoppers

I hunt the area a lot we own 86 acres and can hunt the bordering property as well buts its really all mountains with a bit of logging so its swamps and wide open and lots of prickers tuff hunting. You cant sneak up on deer here not easily anyways but know where they like to run. i just hope a get a glimpse of him when i have the .280 in my hands. He looks pretty think tho his neck looks quite swollen up already and the scrape the cam is on is first sign of rut i have seen so far this year

Was on a deer drive by my house yesterday and had my trail cam with me and happened along a nice scrape so i left my trail cam pointing at it and squirted some tinks trophy buck urine in it and continued along. Could not wait to go back and check it so went and switch cards this afternoon got a picture of a nice buck cant tell quite how big any guess? and its not far from my house in a place I have access to but has pretty high pressure from deer drives. Any guess on this size? and how do I even go about hunting this beast.
