I shot a deer this year that had bare spots like that on one ear, not that bad looking but wondered what caused it, also his head between his legs was black and crusted hard on the end of it lol didn't look good I think the 280 did him a favor but maybe its normal during the rut who knows.
What happened to putting the miles on the boots might as well wear your slippers, but I could see the use for disabled/elderly hunters, and different terrain, a lot of it just seems phoney, half of them hunting look like inspecter gadget.
Missing the Adirondacks already, ready for ice fishing and turkeys in the spring but nothing beats chasing brutes around the mountains. I actually miss the misery of 3 mile/ 6 hour drags come on 2017.
Sitting here having a saranac legacy ipa watching the outdoor channel and some of these shows and advertisements make me laugh, like the quite cat electric three wheeler, I hunt the adks were most places it wouldn't be allowed anyway but that thing wouldn't get me out of the parking lot in most places. Idk they just seem to push a lot of crazy gear nowadays on you all well, Merry Xmas all.
Buckmaster sorry for the loss of your father, thoughts and prayers to you and your family, seeing your fathers picture I believe I know you is your name Jordan by chance?
Thanks for the replies everyone, deer hunting is deer hunting but dragging one out of the Adirondacks for 5 hours makes it that much sweeter in my eyes, definitely a special place.
