  2. Hahaha that’s the plan. I don’t plan on checking the cams at all. I may check the one by his bed at midnight as I know he won’t be there and it’s so close to the house. I actually wound up putting one on the game trail about 70 yards from his bedding area. Knowing that I know I only have AM pics of him at the plot I may not hunt October 1 as I can only hunt the pm and hold off till the morning of the 2nd Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So what if one were to bait without the use of a feeder and spread corn or apples over a 1 acre area would this make it more acceptable? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. So I accidentally stumbled on the giants bed today while setting another cam. It’s about 100 yards from my house on a point that sticks out into the creek. Very steep high bank on the other side. Very thick with knot weed in there. As I went down there to set the cam I saw 3 big bodies stand up. They did not spook but slowly walked off down the bank. Too thick to really see them but I could tell one of them was him. I set a cam up on the trail leading in there. Here is what I think is his hoof print Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. How secluded is the orchard is it a active orchard or old overgrown orchard. How about between the acorns and apples in the afternoon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Ok so I have my biggest buck ever on cam. Never seen anything like it on this land or even any of my other hunting places in 3h. I set the cam 7 days ago and he hung around for about an hour one morning in my plot never seen him before haven’t seen him since. Kind of going crazy about how to hunt him if it’s even possible Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. First bear encounter I ever had was in Sterling Forest, I was bow hunting a 100lb bear stepped out about 35 yards broadside. I drew and took what I thought was the perfect shot at her. I guess I didn’t notice the limb that was about 20 yards out. Arrow deflected and clean miss. She looked my direction and slowly wandered off. Boy was I glad I missed when that tiny tiny cub stubbled our from behind her after about 5 steps. I would have had to call dec on myself had I hit her Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was always told a spot light works best. Sometimes they will even freeze and stare at the light giving you time to get the scope on them and pull the trigger Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That’s a great idea I don’t know why I didn’t think of that. I’m going to go to the dicks in white plains and clear them out tomorrow! Thanks for the idea of you wanna meet me there I’ll buy you a bag or two for giving me the idea. Will probably help you attract those does for your program in the parks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Planting stuff is a lot of work. I was thinking I would go to that store I think it’s called tractor supply and buy like 1000 lbs of corn or something like that and make piles in front of all of my stands Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  24. So I’ve done a lot of research and I have decided to try baiting this year. I hear it can be a great way to get those early season bucks to hit your stands. What have you guys done in the past that works best. Apples, corn. Deer cane. What should I do and is it worth buying a feeder? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
