    He’s in the woods because he wants to get into hunting. I’d prefer he doesn’t, for personal reasons. I also have no interest in teaching him because he’s kind of a dumb ass. If he was truly interested in learning he would take my advice and not tear through the woods an hour before he goes to the stand.     So I’ve said this before in this thread and I’ll say it again. Shot placement is key. People should take responsible shots at the vital and should always go for the clean ethical kill. If a good shot is made caliber will not matter. From 243 to 50bmg a good shot to the vitals will drop a deer quickly. That being said a larger caliber will bring a deer down quicker on a marginal shot. People should shoot what ever they are most accurate with. My wife when she does hunt prefers her 243, me I like my 30/30 35rem and 308. I could hunt with the 243 but prefer the other guns. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I enjoy it. Honestly they don’t hunt unless im there. It’s kind of sad but true. It’s my land and they are too lazy to hunt public at this point Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Well since I’m tagged out I decided to let my cousin sit my stand. He’s walking out there now. This is really only his 3rd day hunting. I’m really hoping he doesn’t get anything.
