So my bow season might be over, I only have a dmp left I can use any way so it’s not the end of the world. I got rear ended pretty hard While driving in the Bronx Friday afternoon. Small dent in my steel bumper and I felt fine so I just waived the guy on. Woke up Saturday morning and my muscle in the middle of the right side of my back is tight and really sore. It was annoying but Tolerable. Fast forward to Sunday mid morning. I go to pull my sons stroller out of my wife’s trunk and can’t. It hurt so bad I almost fell over. No way I can draw a bow. Dr gave me anti-inflammatories muscle relaxers and exercises to do. This sucks. I’ll wait till mid next week and see how I feel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 10374 replies

Just an update I actually met a butcher that I might try. In Orange County. Talked to the guy and he was very knowledgeable. Actually does whole muscle cuts and not those bs cross cuts a lot of guys do. And he vacuum packs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Their videos are pretty cool. After watching I got excited and went to their website to check out the product line. Seemed ok but not something I would buy. But the videos are really cool and for Sure something people should watch Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

lol not taken as a insult at all. I feel the same way about silverskin, and all that crap will come off before use. I just feel it protects it in the freezer. I think I’m gunna do a few sausages this week. I remember you messing around with that a bit. Did you get any good recipes? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That top piece on the right is actually the eye round it is great if you grill it whole. It’s almost like a hidden tenderloin. If you haven’t grilled you should try Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yea that’s exactly why I do it that way, the roasts are from the front shoulders, I almost never do pot roasts from the hinds if I roast them it’s more like a roast beef style. I agree about the fat and sliver that will all get trimmed later I feel when freezing whole it protects the meat a little. This is pretty cool hearing how others do it! You are close to me when you get a deer, shoot me a pm and if I’m free I’ll be happy to give you a lesson it’s really not very hard. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh I know exactly what I’m doing I stop here cause I’m still left with options for each muscle at this point. Just curious what others do Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How far past this stage do you take your hind quarters before you package and freeze. This is where I usually stop and vacuum pack Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was thinking about this dilemma we have about the rut coming and not having a useable buck tag in our pockets. So my idea is I’m going to hunt and try and shoot a doe that’s being chased. I figure these bucks make a living out of giving us a hard time, why not get some pay back. Mr buck thinking he’s gunna get him some and wack his pu$$y is gone. Not to mention if it happens in the AM and I let her lie, that stand could be great for a Friend in the afternoon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 10374 replies

Trust me it was no mistake, as happy as I am about getting that 7 yesterday I’m kinda sad the rut will be on and I’ll only have a dmp in my pocket. It’s the hunt we truly enjoy not the kill and you’re still out there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 10374 replies
