I went out today on a nice sunny day with some nice snow on the ground I just had a feeling I would see some activity. An 90 min into it I saw a doe walking bye nibbling on some brush for just a min and the head right back into the thick brush, I think that's it. Then 5 min later the same doe comes out followed by 4 more doe's right behind just walking and eating. So I wait hopeing that a buck comes out behind them so after 2 hours I could not sit any longer. On my way out of the woods I walked up on 2 more doe's just laying down, they popped up we looked at each other for about 20 min then they were on there way. No bucks and last day for me is on Sun.

Sorry but I think some of the clothing from Dicks looks good on the rack but when you get it in the field it doesn't perform. I bought a coat and bibs this year made by field an stream i think, and it was nice but when the temps diped down it was just not warm enough for me. I bought some real nice stuff from Cabelas an they have an online sales going on to. Maybee I will wear the clothes from dicks for bow season. But thats just my 2cents worth.

Are you going to shoot it or sleep with it...lol I knew that sounded a little dirty when I was writing, but it was the best way to describe it.

Thanks guys Im going to shoulder a couple and see how they feel. I have felt the 1187 cause I have an 870 and its great but I did think the 1187 felt bulky and old fashion (no offence to anyone). It seemed to me that the benelli was a sleak and sexy looking gun that felt comfortable and modern all at the same time, however Im going to try a couple to see what fits.

Right on I clean my gun now everytime I shoot and I had my 870 for some time now.

The wife says I can get a new shotgun after Christmas so lets hear it what should I get? I want another 12 gauge and use it for Ducks, Turkey, and maybee Deer if I get another barrel. Nice set up, but I may need something smaller so I can drag it to the water, the swamp I want to hunt next year I dont think I can get to it by truck.

I have 3 feet in Lancaster, Alden has about the same. The place I hunt in Clarence wich is about 0 min away has nothing. Thats WNY for ya.

Still cant seem to find a small 2 person boat at a decent price.

Hey does anybody know or heard rumor that they will allow crossbows for hunting next year. I want to buy a new bow next year but if they are going to legalize crossbows I think I would like to hunt with one of them instead. Also when do you think the deer season with these things will fall. Thanks

Hey all new to the site and just wanted to say hi, have been lurking reading posts and like what I have been reading. Anyways I have got the hunting bug real bad and actually gave it up for 20 years now Im back. Love deer hunting, ducks and also like stomping on brush piles in the winter for those silly rabbits. Anyways I gave it all up years ago cause the old mans land I used to hunt on past away and sold the property, so Im back on the state lands, wish me luck and if anyone is looking for a fun hunting partner give me a shout.
