main thing is to smell it if it smells like fresh meat then your ok ......and yes most likely it turned that color because of blood draining....i always process all of my own deer and i dont soak it in water

50 th day hunting and yet havent seen a thing ...glad to see some people actually got some snow... here in adirondack park we got a dusting

Every buck I've shot was while it was snowing except for one late October buck and that's over 18 years of hunting. As far as the wind goes I prefer hunting 15-20 mph wind

37 days of hunting so far in southern Adirondack park and haven't even seen a deer yet!
