Geno, maybe you should read my post again AND the original post that started this thread and you will the words ...neighbors claim.... sorry bud my response to was to the initial post not yours.

We are our own worst enemies some times. You mentioned baiting and trespassing. Have you called the DEC or the cops yet?

Apples to oranges, they are protecting their livliehood. Do you want the govn't telling us we can't have guns in our house to protect our family and property then who are we to tell the farmers they can't protect their land? Sounds hypocritical to me. 20 deer a sit? SOunds like a you were in a area that is/was over populated. Down in 3c you may see 6-8 deer or zero, but that's why it's called hunting not killing. I guess some of like the scouting, figuring, sitting, challenge, and some guys just want to walk inpick a nice out of a large group and call it a season. TO each their own but I personally enjoy the challenge of the hunt.

Neighbors claim..... Problem with that is 'claim' usually isn't a factual gauge. Hard to believe 60-80 deer taken in about 8 weeks and there are zero deer. Either way, the farmer has a right to defend his land against intruders trying to rob him of his livliehood, whether they be on four feet or two. Did these pi$$ed off neighbors help him harvest, maintain, sell, etc... his apples, have they helped with his taxes in the past. If not, they it's hard to see how the have a right to complain about the orchard owner defending his private property and his business.

As most of you know by now a young boy in Orange County NY was shot in the stomach this past weekend while doing a drive.　This should never have happened but it did and now it's time to focus on the young man and his family.. It has nothing do for me with healthy or not. My wife and I hate using a spoon to eat our burgers and without a little beef fat to tighten up the meat and to keep it moistened they burger just falls apart. For the 7 types of sausage I make Ialways add pork fat. It is just too dry without it and good luck making breakfast sausage patties that hold together without it. But that's just us, to each their own, but life without some grease isn't life. haha
