12/1 pic when 6pt was not broken. 12/3 pic shows him broken.

Monday 12/21: While I'm at work, my Dad is hunting with xbow. I got 2 texts from him so far. He saw 4 deer this morning at 715am; 2 doe, 2 fawns.....no bucks yet. At 930am he saw the broken up 6 pt we have pictures of walk by at 45 yards. So this buck is still alive, and is indeed broken on 1 side. My Dad is comfortable out to 40 max, so he didn't shoot. My dad was sitting 20 yards to the right of where I typically sit, so if he was sitting in my spot or if I was hunting today it would have been 25 yards! Just my luck.

Yea, but $8k on a $50k property is a crazy % of overall cost. So it's on the seller now. We have upper hand, hunting season over this year anyway and he's stuck paying taxes for another year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He didn't buy it. The seller didn't want to pay for a survey and my dad didn't want to pay for the survey. The title company would only write > 10 acres and not 20 acres without a survey. So my dad was able to get out of the deal and his $ back. The seller has already come back once trying to re negotiate. So we'll see what happens down the road. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Saturday 12/19: my dad and I hunted dark to dark in heavy winds but no deer seen. I'm done for the year. My dad may hunt Monday and/or Tuesday. I checked the cams and as of early December a nice 6pt was still alive. I got pics of him in 2 different spots on 12/1. Then I believe he broke off part of 1 side of his rack because on 12/3 it appears it's snapped off after 5-6" of main beam. This is odd for this section of woods we hunt. We've been hunting this property since 1993 and never seen a busted up rack like this. Wonder if it was a fight or something else. Hopefully he's still alive and will be nicer next year. Just checked 1 cam. Nice 6pt on 12/1 at 1am. On 12/3 he walks by at 9am but half rack was broken. Never seen broken rack in my area before . 12/8 a big coyote. Lots of does/fawns pics as well. Hope the buck comes thru. Will check other cam midday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's why I asked if he was joking. But now you must be joking...your saying an elk, moose, caribou are deer? If so, how could NY possibly compare to a state with multiple species to hunt? Also, caribou can't be hunted in lower 48 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
