  1. I could not find a Yeti hunting forum so I hope it is ok to post this in the general hunting. It is a true story about hunting the giant wild yeti complete with pictures as it appeared in a archery magazine. Be careful out there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOwtiQponvU
  2. Hey Dino Saw the picture and knew it was your post. Old wind mill is very cool! Glad to hear you had some fur caught. Best of luck hunting brian
  3. Ground hunting with the self bow this afternoon. Watching what looks like a freshly worked scrape. Real thick cover, the deer will be close if I get the opportunity. No deer sighted yet but keep reminding myself all it will take is just one deer to turn a good hunt into a great hunt. Good luck everyone.
  4. Good Luck my friend. Looking forward to hearing about your adventure when you get back. Take care and be safe. brian

  7. rachunter, The hole is from the way it grew in nature. The hole serves no purpose other than to give it character. The Bowyer who made the bow has made several over the years with knot holes in them, thus his nickname Hole in the Bow Chuck.
  8. I just finished up making this short video of a recent self bow hunt. My friend Dino did the hunting while I did the filming. We had a good time on the hunt. Hope to make a few more videos this season. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoFEojjH3TE
  9. Last year I did some primitive deer hunt videos. I called the series Buckskins and Bows. Here is the first Buckskins and Bows video of this season. Have a good hunt everybody. Take care, brian https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cx7_Tz-3-yk
  10. Thanks Bill. I was hesitant on posting a unsuccessful hunt video but decided to post it, to show the realistic side to chasing spring turkeys . The truth as most long time turkey hunters know is there are going to be times when you come home empty handed.
  11. Here is the last chapter in this season's Diary of a Turkey Hunter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WFZKoMrwk8
  12. This old tired body managed to climb the mountain for the last day of the season. Funny when the season just started this mountain was only a hill!!! I guess I am getting old.
  13. What has changed? I assume the question refers to turkey numbers as compared to the past. I started hunting spring gobblers way back in the 80s and the numbers were probably very similar to today’s in my area of New York. That said the current population is low compared to a decade or so ago. My thoughts are cold wet springs effected the poult survival rate. The lack of trappers out there is not helping the poults ether.
  14. Yep. Over the years I have heard many terrible sounding hunters that turned out to be live turkeys.
  15. Grandson and I were back out this past weekend. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1srwrbXw6I
  16. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMvG-Ang2X0 Lost eye glasses, high winds, angry hens, fisher cats and reports of strutting gobblers. Just a typical morning for a turkey hunter. Good Luck Everybody.
  17. NorthCountryMan, The call is from a collection of Vintage Game Calls. Not sure on the current value. Take care, brian
