  1. Latest camera pull in my new spot. Not much showed until now. Couple of nice bucks to watch. Not sure what the last one is? Neighbors dog?
  2. Selling a used Western Rivers Apache Game Caller. Have had this caller for approximately 4 years. Has been used around 2-3 times a year. Caller is in perfect working order. It is missing the small rubber gasket on the front that covers the ports. I have been covering them with a piece of tape. Besides that its ready to hit the woods. I have no use for the caller anymore so would like to see it go to a good home.$100.00 OBO shipped to your door. Paypal payments accepted. Please email me at [email protected] for fast responses.Thank You,Jonathan Stabe
  3. It has been a tough October for us in terms of pumping out videos. We are calling in the usual amount of fall season coyotes but they aren’t cooperating once we put the camera lens on them. Fortunately, this one decided to veer from the norm and do everything he is supposed to do.
  4. The Appalachian Eagle Project in NYS started camera trapping as part of our Golden Eagle/Scavenger research the day after muzzleloader season ended - 12/23. Things were slow then suddenly one site in Delaware County had a burst of activity. These photos are mostly from Delaware. Some may be from Otsego. The bear could be a big problem as deer carcasses are scarce. Bear removing one of the two carcasses it took. Bear resting after clearing out our bait. Bald Eagle Bald and Golden Eagles together Bobcat-coyote standoff (note -the cats usually win, which is weird). Coyote
  5. Coyote setups - how do they work? Anybody have little drawings I can use as instructions?
  6. Nice picture of Bear prints about 30 feet of my buddy's camp at the birdfeeder. Have gotten some really nice photos of bear over the years at this spot. Other pic of the Coyote is about 65 yds behind the camp on an atv trail, Nice detail on the Coyote pic. As the crow flies, about 30 miles southeast from Syracuse NY. Now, I am not of the wolves in NY group but could see why people would mistake that as such.
  7. We were lucky this guy decided to run into our field after down winding us. Always helps to have luck on your side….enjoy!
  8. Fish and wildlife agencies nationwide are under increasing pressure to respond to calls and situations related to problems with wildlife. Yet many agencies receive no funding for these activities--it simply constitutes an added-on, unfunded responsibility. Furthermore, there are varied opinions and divergence in public opinion, and even among agency personnel, regarding common dilemmas related to wildlife problems, funding, and public expectations. What level of involvement should fish and wildlife agencies have in managing nuisance wildlife? Dennis Hamilton, Creative Commons License A scientific survey conducted for the Northeast Wildlife Damage Management Research and Outreach Cooperative (hereinafter referred to as the Cooperative) helps wildlife professionals better understand public attitudes toward and expectations regarding management of problems caused by wildlife in the Northeast United States. The ultimate goal of this project is to help state fish and wildlife agencies develop sustainable nuisance wildlife management strategies and viable solutions--in short, to help ensure that agencies are allocating their limited resources and funding based on the priorities and programs that best meet the needs of their constituents. The Cooperative was established in 1999 as a partnership between state and federal wildlife agencies and universities in the Northeast, including Cornell University and Penn State. The Cooperative consists of, and the survey was conducted in, 13 Northeastern states. For this study, Responsive Management obtained a total of 3,962 completed interviews overall. The states surveyed, with the number of completed interviews, are Connecticut (307), Delaware (302), Maine (300), Maryland (300), Massachusetts (303), New Hampshire (308), New Jersey (302), New York (311), Pennsylvania (302), Rhode Island (305), Vermont (320), Virginia (301), and West Virginia (301). The study entailed a scientific telephone survey of residents of those 13 Northeastern states (random digit dialing sampling with supplemental cellular telephone numbers in representative proportions). The study culminated in a full report with state-level data. Two versions of the final results are available: • a complete pdf newsletter summarizing the results and highlighting important findings • the full report of the study, which includes state level findings, can be accessed on our website here Responsive Management is an internationally recognized public opinion and attitude survey research firm specializing in natural resource and outdoor recreation issues. 10. We always struggle with trying to figure out how long we should stay on a stand and this time we prove to be "dead" wrong. It took a little over 45 minutes for these dogs to show up. We usually only call a stand for 25-30 minutes but this was just one of those stands that just looked too good. Enjoy...
