southern tier bow opening

what is the date for the southern tier opening is it the 10/17 and I did not get a doe tag for gun so when can you try in November to get a unused tag ?????

Saturday 10/16 is southern bow opener, and  they start the second chance DMP's November 1st.

I sure miss the Oct 15 as the date each year and let it start in the middle of the week and also the start of gun being the 3rd monday in November. Use to love going to hunt camp on the weekend prior to opening and sighting in, and doing some last minute scounting and seeing all the guys...

I suse was hoping that the DEC would give use a few more weeks in the early Oct to bow hunt. I think PA / CT open in the middle of Sept. Seems strange as the DEC pushs archers season to make room for BP or crossbows there is no consideration on just opening up the season date. In Maryland they have the season open in Sept and close the last day of Jan for archery...
