The clover didn't take well, but everything else seems OK.

Looking good, if you have visible clover in there your best bet starting next spring will be to mow the plot to tame any weedy competition. I dont use any pesticides on my plots, but my clover plots are lush only because of repeat mowing once they get 6 or more inches and I fertilize each year. The mowing achieves 2 things for you it keeps the weeds and grasses under control and keeps a constant supply of tender clover.

Man, the deer absolutely HAMMERED the buckwheat.  To the point where the field looks like its dead.  But the good news is, there is clover and brassica coming up, and we just had a nice rain storm yesterday.  The other field with the rye is going good, seemed they loved that buckwheat.

We were in the middle of putting up a stand about 200 yards away from the one field and we could see the deer filing in there at about 3pm yesterday.  I wish I had my camera, but it was raining the whole day.
