Early Black Bear in the Adirondacks

I am seriously considering hunting Black Bear in September this year. I just wanted to confirm that I need to use my Last year's Bear tag before Oct 1st, correct?

Anyone else going up there for Bear?

The next thing I need to figure out is whether I go with Bow or Rifle... I would love to bow one. Also whether I spot and stalk or treestand... ugh it feels like last season ended just yesterday now.

Yep, You will need last year's tag until October 1.

One question we should ask though. Opening bow for DEER is Sept 27 in the Northern region, Can we use last year's tags.

I am heading up Sept 28 for Bear only with rifle. Fun Times..

If you still have a tag from last year, you have three days to take a deer up north. It's been that way for years.

If you hunt NT bow deer before 10/1 you HAVE to use last year's tags.
