Early Bear ADK

Did anyone harvest any bears the first week end of early bear season in the ADK? We are leaving tomorrow for the Moose River Plains for a 5-day hunt.

Went all weekend and had 2 cubs come in. Not in moose river plains tho. Have fun at MRP it was a hunting convention. Never seen so many guys in my life so far in the back country. good luck. hopefully it'll be better for u.

Sorry it took so long to get back with you, We had a great time, a little rain but nothing that you coudn't live with. We did not harvest any bears but had a great time. It was worth the trip for the foilage and setting around the campfire at night.

I went to Moose river plains Sept 28-30th. It was a short trip that was fun for all. We had a Moose come through our camp area early Sunday morning and saw a ton of turkey. I saw alot of deer late at night near Woodgate on my way in on Rt 28.

My father, 2 bother-in-laws, 3 nephews. and myself attended and had a good time shooting targets, hiking, and hunting. My nephews are a little young to hunt but carried BB guns for good show and to teach muzzle and rifle control. They also practiced crossing barriers, creeks, etc. while carrying in a group of hunters.

I saw bear sign east of the big T intersection only. We camped at site 71 near mile marker 6 and saw no bear sign.
