Doc
Looks like there is quite a difference in what it takes to manage wildlife from on state to another.
Contender
30 some years ago, I bought a non- resident hunting license in Maryland. The cost was whatever your resident state charged for a non resident license. Thankfully , I was in the service and didnt have to pay for NY residency!!! I thought this was an interesting method to set the price. Of course , there was a minimum in case your state was less than they wanted to charge.. Looks like they changed to $130.00 now across the board but the fishing license uses the home state pricing method. I had a blast hunting doves , geese and deer in those days in Maryland....It helped that my best friend' s father owned and operated a Farm Credit company and loaned money to farmers. We hunted anywhere at anytime for obvious reasons!! ;D
