DeerLogic
I have an issue and need some suggestions. We have an excellent stand on our hunting grounds, and it has always produced numerous deer. From big to small. Early this year there was nothing different, and within the last two weeks deer movement has seemed to disappear. I was in there a couple days ago and this evening. While walking in I keep finding huge piles of bear poo. Pretty sure this is the reason for the deer disappearing. I walked the ridge this afternoon, and found a total of 9 piles of poo. SO obviously this bear has found a new home. My problem is that we can not bait here in VA, and this bear is bedding in some thick, thick blow downs about 50yds from the stand. How do I go about killing this bear. He is legal here in VA right now with bow and BP. I want him with my bow though. All suggestions will be greatly appreciated. shawnhu
Move the stand closer and shoot his ass. Or create a new app Bear Logic and get it done!
First-light
I had plenty of bear by my stand this year and the deer didn't give a hoot. Both animals used the same bedding area.
DeerLogic
Bear logic is coming, and what we will be trying this weeks. Is that the bear seems to be watching the area of the stand. We believe he knows the travel in and out of it. We are going in with 2 men. Gonna have me climb up in my climber, and have the other man wait about 30minutes with me, and then walk out. We believe that the bear will think we have left, and maybe just maybe he will come out. Hey trying new tactics, that's what it's all about.
