Looking for a Remington 710 30-06 full stock assembly

Recommended Posts

Anyone know where I can buy a replacement full stock assembly for a Remington 710 chambered in 30-06? After shooting the biggest deer of my life today, I start lowering my 710 and the tow rope unties and it falls to the ground 15 feet snapping the rear stock completely off but the scope survived. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cabela's sells them, maybe you can find one that is nicer looking than the old one too, might have been a blessing in disguise to have that ugly thing fall and break...hehe The rope came loose to shed its self of that ugly gun. lol

Kidding of course, but really I saw them for @95 bucks for a black synthetic. You can find thumb hole stocks and I'm sure a pretty wood one if you look too.

Doewacker I looked online and at Cabelas but they don't have it for the 710. Only the 700 and I don't think it's interchangeable. To think I just camouflaged my rifle two weeks ago cause I too did not like the ugly grey stock on it. LOL!

After doing some searches on it, I cant find them anywhere, even Remington doesnt list them any more. I would contact them and see if theres anything they have or a good direction to point you. Other than that, youll have to luck across a used one or go to a smith that can do a custom stock for you. You might be cheaper to buy a new gun.

I posted a few days ago to Doc that Dicks has the Remmy 700 ADL in 223, 22-250, 243 and 308 for $349 with a scope (albeit a cheap one) as a Black Friday doorbuster sale. You have to get there at Midnight on Thanksgiving. $100 of that price is a mail in rebate, just an FYI.

Just made some headway - I called Remington directly and I was told that the 770 stock is identical to the 710 - $120 for black includes shipping and tax and its in stock. I took several deer with this rifle and it is . . . er . . . was dead on accurate until it fell. Despite the complaints I've read on other forums I think I'm going to order it. I don't want to spend $400 on a new rifle and $450 for the shoulder mount as well. I think the $120 will sit a lot better with the wife. Maybe I'll call it my Xmas present.
