Maps for gps?

I got a garmin e-trex 30 today and realized I had to buy a map pack for it.

Has anyone had to buy one and if so which one. I saw one called topo for all of northeast and I saw one called birdseye.

Anyone have any input?

I just got the same one about a month ago. You should buy the birdseye maps. Its $29 for the year and you can download unlimtied maps. Here is the link.

Doesn't the GPS screen size &/or resolution limit the benefits of having the "Birds-Eye" map?
