Current laws on AR Style in NY

I am unclear as to what one can own in the AR style in NY today and what type of magazines you can have. Anyone know the law?

If you can not find one here to buy is it ok to get one in another state and bring home?

I am getting the feeling they are sold out everywhere but.....

Also how many own them in the state- the more owner the less likely they are getting taken away.
