Doc
I'm afraid there are an awful lot of people here that might actually send in e-mails and letters, but simply don't know who represents them. If that is your situation, get on the internet and make it today's mission to figure out who your state and federal representaves are and create a document on your hard-drive with names addresses, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, etc. It's important that you are ready to communicate. noahmstone
I actually sent my local representative a thank you email yesterday for sticking up for the 2nd amendment and her constituents and voting no on the safe act. I also informed her that I would remember that at the next election. I have been emailing all of my reps for 3-4 weeks now.
Doc
Be careful of using just the zip code for identification of your State Senator and assemblyman. The voting districts do not follow zip codes. A better way to go is to access the Senate and Assembly pages where they have representaive finders that use your entire address. http://assembly.state.ny.us/mem/?sh=search State Assemblyman search by address http://www.nysenate.gov/ State Senator search by address
