AR-15 for coyote

I live in CT and hunt with my dad on his property in NY. Can I legally bring my AR-15 into NY to hunt? I am just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this with all the new laws.

yeah, you cool, after the dear season is done the entire state of NY is OK for any caliber during small game season, there is no caliber restrictions as you have in CT, I know since I live in NY and hunt CT also, you are good to go, just remember any hunting must be done with the most 5 rounds magazine, so leave those 30 rounders in CT :-) You have till end of March for yotes in NY.... Also check the DEC site for details....

if what your asking is 'is it legal' do to the nysafeact? yes until early 2014. 5round mags to hunt. after that???
