DIDNTCATHING
Fished all my favorite spots and not one hit. Threw everything at them and nothing. Went to Cannonsville by Dry Brook Road and second cast with a Yozuri suspended rainbow pattern hooked into a brown that was two feet from being landed and line snapped. I hate guestamating but it was a slob! Was fishing near some ice in cloudy water. I always hook up on that setting..

He said he didn't get his first hit till 8am and he started fishing around 6am.
noodle one
I fish the West branch Delaware a lot and have been down two times so far this season and the action has been real slow. The water is to cold for good fishing. You have to put the bait right under their nose or they will not take it.There still is ice on the lakes and ponds that feed the river.Think about it, do you want to move from your bed on cold morning. The water is still green and the fish are not chasing. Give it another two weeks and it will pick up. I will be there two or three times a week then.
PREDATE
I've never wet a line in Cannonsville although I do have a DEP access permit. I will be on the west branch from Stilesville to Hancock pretty regularly after turkey season. It's a 45 minute drive but we visit family alot in Deposit. You guys ever fished further up towards Walton? I know they stock it up there, just don't know if the big ones get that far up. The water may be a bit cold yet, but they will have to feed at some point and ya never know when you're gonna hook a toad! Good fishin guys
