Just a couple small browns I was able to land this weekend. Nothing over 10 inches, but plenty of action.

Found him on 206, halfway between Trout Creek and Walton.

Found him dead on the road in Delaware county

Caught a few on a rapala ul minnow at the cannonsville reservoir this past weekend.

Fished all my favorite spots and not one hit. Threw everything at them and nothing. Went to Cannonsville by Dry Brook Road and second cast with a Yozuri suspended rainbow pattern hooked into a brown that was two feet from being landed and line snapped. I hate guestamating but it was a slob! Was fishing near some ice in cloudy water. I always hook up on that setting..

More ammo..get more ammo...before that's gone....

My last two deer killed in NY have been by following a blood trail that other hunters have given up on.They were'nt bow kills but the lack of effort and overall consideration for the animal I respect and cherish from these two hunters disgusted me.IMO this is what gives us hunters a bad rap.Glad you got him!

This past weekend the action has picked up in 4o.Had a couple of non shooters chasing does.

Wind..How many times has a monster hung up on you?Bet he winded ya..Cover/bedding area..early season I have found that the big ones are more predictable..bedding to food back to bedding area..sign aka rubs tell me which way he travels..and last is moon phase..Full moon big ones seem to move alittle earlier than previous..I get to my stand earlier..In the rut well it's a coin toss...

Yes erussell...caught 30 or so browns and one rainbow and countless smallies in the past 3 weeks from walton to beerston bridge..5 were 20in plus but kept on camera and camera went in drink in deposit..hope to post them when camera dries out...
