phade
I think noise from the camera is more of a factor than IR on mature bucks. I beg to differ. Red IR is damaging imo. Noise comes from filter changes. A good cam has 2 filter moves in 24 hours. Some have more movements because they don't have good light metering. Or, just a crappy cam. A cam that makes noise is worthless - the Moultrie 990 this year has a noise issue - not generated by the traditional filter movement - and that should prevent purchase until they officially fix it. A normal cam however, two filter movements is a non-issue. Noise occurs all the time in the woods...constant red glowing orbs do not. Tell me those red ir vids aren't scaring those bucks away. Filters were already lowered as they were not the first night vids from that night. Edited April 17, 2013 by phade
