Hoping You Can Help - PLEASE!

Expereinced (28 years), Ethical, & Safe Sportsman seeking private land to hunt on near our home (Webster/Ontario NY. 90% of my time would be archery hunting for deer in the fall on afternoons and some weekends. Possibly turkeys in the spring once or twice. I was raised in a hunting family so it is in my blood and I take hunting very seriously. My son has taken the hunter safety classes and on occassion will join me. Thats the reason I'd like a private safe place to continue instilling those core values into my son. I always try to donate venison every year to the needy and I am also very selective with the shots I take and even more so on the deer I choose to harvest. Additonally I am a novist but enjoy nature photography.

Can & Will Provide:
A landowner/Hunter Waiver
Provide our own Insurance coverage
Character References
Willing to share the harvest
Despite partial knee replacement willing to help around the property.
Willing to provide any other backgroud information requested.

 

Hopefully someone out there can help us. We have tried for a couple years with adds on Craigslist, the pennysaver and flyers around town to find something close to home. As a single parent with 2 teen boys and a daughter in the Navy things can get tight for us now and then. Hunting is not just a passion and a hobby that I cherish but a gift I thank god for also hunting provides 1/2 our meat for a year.

Although it is not private land the Bow Hunt program run by the Webster Parks and Rec offers a place to hunt close to home. The program is well run. I would suggest considering it. This year they will be opening a 4th property to hunt providing almost 400 acres of public land for Town residents.

Thank you very much for  the heads up on this. I actually live only a couple hundred yards from the east side of Webster park (up by the lake). I have many deer in my yard almost..... Actually I think I heard about this before. I will stop in and check with them this week. My only issue maybe my partial left knee and minor disability.  But it would be REAL close to home and it's worth looking into.
