Pine forest

Recommended Posts

So at my property the whole width of it prolly about an acre then back 250-300 is pines. It was a state planted forest back in the day. A good chunk has fallen into a nice open area was thinking of clearing it for a plot. Will any plant take being surrounded by pine trees?

i have an old boyscout planted abandon christmas tree farm on my property. Coolest thing in the woods. All sorts of neat criters and great deer traffic. Some areas have had multiple pines fall letting in light and creating nice growth and I wouldn't recommend touching it at all. These areas seem to do great when left undisturbed. I would recommend you check all your runs near your stands. We have to hack up 2 or 3 fallen pines a year to keep the runs clear.
