Gun raffles

Not sure if this topic has been covered in another forum but here it goes. The fall gun raffle season is coming and I was wondering how many of you go to raffles? I go to 3-4 and buy tickets to some other ones but don't attend. Also what do you guys look for in a gun raffle or what do you consider a good raffle? Me personally it's all about the food seeing as I hardly win a gun. Actually I have never won one. My cousin who is 12 has one 2.

I was down in Liberty last week. Had breakfast in a little diner and bought a couple. I don't partake in any particular ones, just buy a few tickets when I see them. 1 or 2 dollars for a chance to win a gun is a fair investment in my eyes!

The one I entered has these prizes.

1st prize-  .270 Savage 10/110 Trophy hunter w/scope OR $350.00 cash

2nd prize- Mossberg 835 Max 4, 3 1/2" pump 12 Ga. camo OR $300.00 cash

3rd prize- Ruger 10/22 wood stock OR $200.00 cash

I buy tickets for several raffles a year, but I seldom go to them anymore...I don't care for the crowds and standing in line...I generally give my meal ticket to someone who will use it...

I have managed to win 3 guns over the years ...Two of them were NE Arms single shots, a .410 and a 12 gauge.. The third was a Ruger M77 MKII in .270 Win.  I never fired it..Sold it NIB and used the money to buy a Rem  XP-100 in .260 Rem, which I have since sold  to a certain ex-cigar smoking  member of this forum...<<wink>>...
