The turkey have been all over our place all summer...with all the sorghum in the Power plant  and the clovers doing so well so late and of course the acorns...this fall should be a good one...hoping for a good bow tom or even jake with the bow this fall

I been watching a huge Tom walking  the hay cuttings. Can't get one pic of that old bird. Only visible twice, all summer. The way the population has decreased here, don't know whether I should even attempt to shoot'em?

Growalot...on a side note how did that "powerplant" planting work out.  I have been interested in trying it for a summertime plot

It grew...but so did the weeds...I won't plant it again for the price....the deer did eat the beans...wiped out the sunflowers...and as soon as the sorghum headed out the bean usage went way down....now that may or may not be good later before a frost...but now I'll have to plant RRseed in the area for a couple of years to get the weed seed problem  under control...which will get my rotation plans all off...works but then again not...depends on how you manage your plots....

Pics from yesterday. Turkeys have been in the new clover before and after the showers. This is my expermental plot that took 2 years to come in clover. They have found the pears, left their calling card, LOL.
