right now using doe urine.

first time ever using it.

on opening day was in the woods at 6, was setting up my scent wicks, got to the last one and thought i heard something coming down wind far off in the woods. barely got set up in my stand and heard a branch break about 15 yds away. at that point i knew what it was but couldnt see it. i saw a sillouette about 3 mins later sniffing my last scent wick i set up. the buck continued to sniff all the wicks around my stand and hung around for the next 45 mins well into daylight. however he moved a long with some doe that appeared and by this time too far off for any sort of shot.

then tuesday of this week i had 3 doe follow my exact path in the woods as i had sprayed my boots with the stuff and they walked within 5 yds of me downwind.  never spooked or anything just kept on with their business and passed right by.

then wednesday morning in the same stand as opening day above.  wind was blowing the same direction and whatta ya kno that same buck comes crashing through downwind and at 7:15 he presented a shot 13 yds away and now i have meat in the freezer!!!

one thing to note from all this is that both times i saw that buck he came from downwind following that scent.  never smelled me or looked cautious and came with in 30 ft of me both times.  so, IMO, id have to say doe urine works quite well as a cover scent and attractant in the early stages of the season.
