anybody know how the deer population is up in happy valley these day?havent bow hunted it in at least ten years.used to be some SLOB does up in there!!!!!MANY porcupines also!!!!!!

Still a ton of porcupines and even more hunters. There is some good hunting though if you put in the time and effort.

Yea you have to get away from where the people are.My friend hunts it quite a bit and he has ok luck there but he puts a ton of time in for what he gets.There are way to many slob hunters that go there and mess it all up for the rest

If you hunt on the north side of St. Mary's pond you can fin some solitude. Have seen several nice bucks there over the years. It is mostly oak along that side.

You got a week till the Muzzle Loader brigade takes run of the place.  Never will I understand the reason these are in the same season as bow here.  Good grouse hunting though.
