Growth on Buck

Got this pic when I checked cams today. The buck has some kind of growth on his shoulder.

Sort of reminds me of when we'd get a cow with an abcess on her leg.  Yicky.

looks like an abcess under the skin to me

I am not sure. I think we had a discussion on this type of thing on the old empirehunting forum. I can not remember what some of the guys called it.

There can be fibromas, which are wartlike tumors. However, this thing is under the skin and the haircoat doesn't appear to be messed up
