Karpteach
Had met a nice gent at stewart many moons ago. We were all hunting Pheasants, with dogs. we started talking about him paying and hunting an Apple Orchard. Any one ever do anything like that? crappyice
I think I know the farm since there are not many in Yorktown and I am not at all surprised the owner CHARGED for allowing someone to help thin the herd that destroys his crop. He robs his patrons for his apples so why not for his pests. ($25 per bag of pick your own) Every year I pick apples with my family I am always seeking out the owner for permission. Most owners have regulars who hunt their property already.
Bucktooth Earl
I know there was an Orchard in Somers-If I remember correctly you pay $300.00 for the season and receive a $100.00 refund for each doe you shoot. It wouldn't be too bad-you and about 45 other guys all trying to kill the same overpressured deer in a limited parcel of woods ???
