hey guys wanted to get out this weekend and just wondering if it has been really crowded and whens the best time to head out to get a spot? otis pike in particular

If you want to Otis morning you need to make a reservation the day before or a week before for the weekend, if you want to hunt in the afternoon just show up at the ridge check station there are usually spots open

Thaught that ws for regular season. For bow its no checkin. South of lie u dont have to checkin at alll.

Pretty sure mandatory check in starts Nov 1st at the Ridge DEC station..... Only during Oct can you walk in to any numbered "spot".

Daily Access Permit Procedures for Hunting Rocky Point and Otis Pike:

From November 1 through December 31, all hunting on Rocky Point (except spots nos. 7A & 25) and parts of Otis Pike (parking spot nos. 1 through 12, 14 and 15, 17 through 22 and 36, 37, 39, 40, 44, 45, 49, 50 and 52) is by daily access permit only. Daily access permits can be obtained at the Ridge Hunter Check Station.
