 My daughter texted me last Friday morning (before the hunt) when we had all that wind. She said, "Dad hunt smart" that was all I needed to stay out of the tree stand during the real windy periods.

gives me chills.  I just put up a ladder stand thats only 15 feet and has a shooting rest in front. I normally wouldnt wear a harness...im wearing one from now on. Not worth the risk

Sad story. I always put safety first over anything when it comes to hunting. Guns, Xbows, knives, etc. can change or end your life in a split second.

Most falls happen while getting in and out of the stand . 3 points of contact are essential to keep you safe. It may take a few extra minutes but it will save your life.
